A Fresh Tactical Vision for Liberty Christian Soccer
The Liberty Christian boys soccer program is gearing up for the 2026 campaign after enduring back‑to‑back defeats in the Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association state tournament last year. The coaching staff, led by head coach Ken Dildine, has introduced a more aggressive offensive scheme that emphasizes physical play and coordinated double‑teaming to win the ball back quickly.
Senior midfielder Cole Nelsen, who has taken on a leadership role in shaping the new approach, believes the team can translate its revised tactics into a championship mindset. Alongside him, sophomore Cruz Meyer is confident that the current blend of talent and game plan positions the Eagles to finish first at the state tournament.
Returning goalkeeper Malcolm Geeding, still early in his development, is focusing on both mental resilience and physical conditioning as he prepares to guard the net. The team’s season opener is slated for August 24 at Victory Christian in south St. Louis, a match that will serve as the first test of the new system.
Beyond the X’s and O’s, the program is intent on rebuilding its Christian character and identity, drawing inspiration from past successes and emphasizing hard work, discipline, and adherence to the school’s values. The Eagles hope that a disciplined, aggressive style will not only yield wins but also reinforce the community’s shared purpose.
