A Thanksgiving basketball showcase
The Liberty Flames have been selected to take part in the 2026 Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic, a four‑team tournament that will run from November 25 through November 28 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
All matches will be held at UNCW's Trask Coliseum, with the event featuring a round‑robin format that guarantees two games per day for each participant.
Liberty arrives with a 26‑8 record from the 2025‑26 season, having captured a second straight CUSA outright regular‑season title and reaching the second round of the NIT for the second time in four years.
The field also includes UNCW, which posted a 27‑7 record and secured the CAA regular‑season crown, Princeton, a program that has won 43 games over the past two seasons and advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2023, and St. Thomas, the Summit League runner‑up who made its first NCAA Division I postseason appearance.
Historically, Liberty has faced UNCW and Princeton four times each, while the Flames have never met St. Thomas, adding a new storyline to the tournament.
Single‑game tickets will be released at a later date, and the remainder of Liberty's non‑conference schedule will be announced subsequently.
