A Jam‑Packed Non‑Conference Calendar

Liberty University announced its 2026‑27 women’s basketball non‑conference schedule on November 3, 2026, revealing a demanding slate that begins earlier than any previous season.

The Lady Flames will open the season on November 2 against Frostburg State at Liberty Arena, marking the program’s earliest opener to date and the second straight year the team faces Frostburg State to start the campaign.

Following the opener, Liberty will embark on a four‑game swing through North Carolina, traveling to face East Carolina, NC State, North Carolina A&T and Elon between November 7 and November 19, testing the squad against a variety of in‑state opponents.

The schedule also includes a return to the Christmas City Classic in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for the first time since 2018, where the Lady Flames will play on November 28 and 29 against Lehigh and either Harvard or Pitt, adding a holiday‑season showcase to the roster.

December will bring three consecutive matchups against Virginia rivals, starting with a home game against George Mason on December 5, followed by a home contest versus James Madison on December 8, and a road trip to Richmond on December 13.

The non‑conference portion wraps up at the Hawk Classic in Philadelphia on December 20‑21, where Liberty will meet Washington State and either Holy Cross or Saint Joseph’s, marking the team’s first appearance at Saint Joseph’s since 2013.

Beyond the highlighted tournaments, the Lady Flames are slated to meet additional opponents such as Delaware, FIU, Missouri State, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State and Sam Houston, before transitioning to Conference USA play.
