His father, Sammy Williams, has been the cornerstone of the household since the family’s matriarch passed away in 2010, raising Lincoln and his two siblings while juggling work and school responsibilities.

Samantha and Samuel Williams followed their brother’s footsteps into higher education, offering academic guidance and emotional support that helped Lincoln navigate the pressures of both study and sport.
During his sophomore year, Lincoln faced a steep decline in grades, a setback that could have derailed his athletic ambitions. Instead, he embraced a disciplined study routine, sought tutoring, and gradually restored his academic standing.
On the court, the senior season saw him average 24 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals per game, numbers that caught the eye of Illini scouts.
The commitment ceremony at Kankakee High School was attended by friends, teachers and local leaders, all eager to celebrate a young man who has turned adversity into opportunity.
