The Lindenwood Men's Soccer team delivered a commanding 7‑0 victory over Blackburn College on Wednesday night, posting the most lopsided result of the season and marking a clear statement of intent.
The Lions generated a season‑high 31 attempts while limiting the Eagles to a single shot on goal, six of which were on target, underscoring a stark contrast in attacking intensity.
Six different players found the back of the net for the first time in their collegiate careers, including Omar Sanderson, whose early strike opened the scoring, and David Magalhaes, who added two goals to his tally.
Maxime Legai, Luca Bartoni, Gabriel Tonks and Ryan Holmes also contributed to the offensive outburst, with Holmes converting a penalty kick in the 71st minute to cap the scoring spree.
Head Coach Kris Bertsch highlighted the emergence of first‑time goal scorers and assistants, noting the team's defensive solidity and the depth of talent that will carry into the next challenge.
The Lions will now travel to Dayton, Ohio, where they are slated to meet Wright State on Sunday at noon Central Time, aiming to translate their recent firepower into another strong performance on the road.
