Lindenwood Women’s Soccer Sets New Academic Benchmark
United Soccer Coaches announced that 793 collegiate soccer programs earned the Team Academic Award for the 2025‑26 academic year, reflecting a combined commitment to athletic and scholarly excellence across the nation.
Among the honorees, Lindenwood University’s women’s soccer squad distinguished itself with the highest conference GPA of 3.83, building on a fall semester GPA of 3.82 and a spring GPA that remained equally impressive.
The team’s academic distinction comes as part of a broader trend, with 184 institutions seeing both their men’s and women’s programs recognized for maintaining a collective GPA of at least 3.0.
Looking ahead, the Lions are slated to begin the 2026 campaign on August 13, hosting Bellarmine at 6:00 p.m., a match that will showcase the program’s dual focus on performance on the pitch and achievement in the classroom.
United Soccer Coaches, the governing body behind the award, continues to champion the integration of academic rigor within collegiate soccer, partnering with institutions to highlight programs that excel in both arenas.
