Lindsay Bronson Schultz has been appointed as the sixth head coach of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh women's basketball program, succeeding Brad Fischer after his 14-year run at the helm.
Schultz arrives after a distinguished stint at Carroll University, where she compiled a 134-114 record and guided the Pioneers to a 100-36 mark over the past five seasons, capturing multiple conference titles and earning coach of the year honors.
Her coaching journey includes roles at Bradley University, UW-Parkside and UW-Milwaukee, as well as a playing career at Cardinal Stritch University from 2001 to 2004, where she later earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and secondary education and a master's in sport management.
Schultz will begin her duties on August 3, stepping into a program with a storied legacy that includes 17 WIAC regular-season championships, seven WIAC tournament titles and a national crown in 1996. The Titans have reached the NCAA Division III tournament 21 times, and the new coach inherits a roster that finished the season with a top-2 finish in the CCIW each of the last four years.
A New Era for Titans Basketball
The appointment reflects the university’s commitment to maintaining competitive momentum in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Athletic director Darryl Sims highlighted Schultz’s blend of strategic acumen and player development as key factors in the decision.
Fans and alumni alike have expressed optimism, noting the program’s tradition of excellence and the recent emergence of a first-team All-American from the Pioneer ranks. With Schultz at the helm, the Titans aim to extend their championship pedigree and pursue another national title.
In addition to her on-court work, Schultz has served on the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship Regional Advisory Committee since 2024, bringing a breadth of experience to the role. The university announced the hiring with a graphic that will be featured across its digital platforms, underscoring the excitement surrounding the next chapter of Titan basketball.
