A New Era for Titans Basketball
Lindsay Bronson Schultz has been appointed as the sixth head coach of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh women's basketball program, taking over from Brad Fischer after his 14-year tenure. Her official start date is August 3, a timeline that gives her a brief window to assess the roster and institutional culture before the first practice.
Bronson Schultz arrives with a proven track record at Carroll University, where she compiled a 134-114 overall record and a 100-36 mark over the last five seasons. Under her guidance the team captured four consecutive top-two finishes in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) and secured regular-season championships in 2024 and 2026.
A Legacy of Excellence
The Titans have a storied history, boasting 17 WIAC regular-season titles, seven tournament championships and 21 NCAA Division III tournament appearances, including a national crown in 1996. Bronson Schultz hopes to add to that legacy by competing for championships and delivering a superior student-athlete experience.
Her previous stops include assistant roles at Bradley University, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, as well as a playing career at Cardinal Stritch University, where she earned NAIA All-American Scholar honors and the Champions of Character award.
Building a Competitive Future
Athletic director Darryl Sims expressed confidence that Bronson Schultz’s blend of strategic acumen and player development will keep the program competitive in the WIAC and on the national stage. The university also highlighted the contributions of alumni such as Natalie Gricius, a first-team All-American this spring, and Olivia Rangel, who are expected to mentor the next generation.
The hiring underscores a broader ambition to maintain the Titans’ tradition of excellence while embracing new ideas. With a clear focus on recruiting, player growth and community engagement, the program aims to sustain its reputation as a powerhouse in Division III basketball.
