A Historic Season for the Trojans
Little Rock's baseball program reached new heights in 2026, finishing the season ranked No. 22 in the Baseball America Top 25 — the highest final national ranking in school history.
The Trojans closed the year with a 39‑28 record, capturing the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship for the second straight season and securing the program's first appearance in an NCAA Super Regional.
Coach Chris Curry, who celebrated his 300th career win during the OVC Tournament, praised the team's resilience and expressed excitement about the future of Little Rock baseball.
The team swept the Hattiesburg Regional, defeating Southern Miss and Jacksonville State twice, and posted a school‑record 39 victories, the most in a single season.
Little Rock became just the second No. 4 regional seed to advance to a Super Regional since the NCAA Tournament adopted its current format, joining an elite group of programs.
The Trojans closed the season alongside traditional powerhouses such as Oklahoma, North Carolina and Texas in the final Top 25, underscoring the program's rapid ascent.
Back‑to‑Back Success and New Milestones
Over the past two seasons, Little Rock has claimed back‑to‑back conference tournament titles and earned consecutive NCAA Regional appearances, a feat unmatched in program history.
The team also set a new school record for wins, and their six victories in five days during the OVC Tournament highlighted their clutch performance.
Baseball America noted that Little Rock was one of four new teams to appear in the final rankings, alongside Troy, Cal Poly and St. John's, reflecting the broader impact of the program's rise.
