Three Louisiana Little League programs – the Bossier All‑Stars, the Haughton All‑Stars and the Benton All‑Stars – are still in contention for state titles after winning their opening round games.
The Bossier squad opened with a dominant 9‑1 victory over Sabine before dropping a hard‑fought 5‑4 decision to Concordia in the winners’ bracket semifinals. Undeterred, the team now prepares for an elimination showdown against Monroe scheduled for Saturday at 9 a.m.
Saturday’s Elimination Games
Haughton will meet Minden at 8 a.m., while Benton is set to face Oakdale also at 8 a.m., giving each team a chance to stay alive in their respective regional tournaments.
The winners of those matches will move forward in the tournament brackets, while the losers will see their championship hopes end for the season.
All three elimination games are slated for Saturday morning, with the outcomes determining which squads advance to the next stage of competition.
