A Local Victory with Statewide Impact
The Kentucky youth soccer scene celebrated a remarkable achievement as the Bowling Green FC 2007/2008 Gold squad captured the United State Youth Soccer Kentucky State Cup U19 championship.
The final match unfolded at Louisville City’s Lynn Family Sports Vision and Training Center, where the Gold side faced off against Madison United MUSA Flyers 2008 and secured a decisive 4‑1 victory.
Among the standout performers were three local athletes: Kallan Davis, a student at Heritage Christian Academy; Alex Ramirez from Hopkinsville; and Dylan McDonald, who represents Fort Campbell.
Their contributions underscored the depth of talent emerging from the region, blending high school experience with military family roots and a shared commitment to the sport.
Coaches praised the team's cohesion, noting that the win reflects both individual skill and collective strategy, while families and local clubs look forward to seeing how the players progress in upcoming competitions.
