Logan Shore, a right‑handed pitcher who anchored the University of Florida’s rotation from 2014 through 2016, has been selected for the 2026 UF Athletic Hall of Fame class.
A career defined by consistency and impact
During his three‑year stint with the Gators, Shore helped the program reach back‑to‑back College World Series appearances in 2015 and 2016, contributing to a resurgence that captured the attention of the SEC and national collegiate baseball circles.
His statistical footprint remains indelible: he sits second all‑time among Florida pitchers with 30 career wins, ranks seventh in strikeouts with 248, and limited opponents to a career batting average of .231, underscoring his dominance on the mound.
Shore’s breakout freshman season earned him SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2014 after he posted a 7‑4 record, a 2.16 ERA and 68 strikeouts. The following year, he ascended to the pinnacle of collegiate pitching, winning the SEC Pitcher of the Year award and finishing as a Golden Spikes Award finalist while compiling a 12‑1 record, a 2.31 ERA and 95 strikeouts.
The Hall of Fame induction will take place at a banquet held on October 9 at the F Club, the night before Florida’s homecoming showdown with South Carolina, providing a weekend of celebration for the Gators community.
The 2026 class also honors gymnastics legend Bridget Sloan and softball standout Kelsey Stewart, joining Shore in a cohort that reflects the breadth of Florida’s athletic excellence across sports and generations.
University officials say the ceremony will not only recognize individual achievement but also reinforce the institution’s commitment to fostering champions who excel both on the field and in the broader arena of personal development.
