Longhorns Honor 2026 Postseason Excellence
Texas baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle, alongside his staff, unveiled the 2026 postseason team awards, a tradition that celebrates players who have left a lasting imprint on the Longhorn program.
The ceremony highlighted a suite of awards named for legendary former Longhorns, each symbolizing distinct virtues such as leadership, self‑lessness and integrity. The James and Huston Street Longhorn Award, for example, honors the athlete who best embodies the spirit of Texas through off‑field conduct as well as on‑field performance.
This year’s recipients included Luke Harrison, who earned the James and Huston Street Longhorn Award, Anthony Pack Jr., who captured the Brooks Kieschnick Team MVP, Aiden Robbins, the Keith Moreland Offensive Player of the Year, Carson Tinney, the Spike Owen Defensive Player of the Year, Dylan Volantis, the Greg Swindell Pitcher of the Year, and Ethan Walker, the Sean Braswell Academic MVP.
Beyond the headline awardees, the recognition extended to a broad spectrum of contributors, including Kimble Schuessler, Andre Duplantier II, Eric Kennedy, Murphy Stehly, Cam Williams, Bryce Elder, Andy McGuire, Travis Jones, Rylan Galvan, Jalin Flores, Dylan Campbell, Ivan Melendez, Tristan Stevens, Kody Clemens, Kacy Clemens, Will Gasparino, Skyler Messinger, Trey Faltine, Duke Ellis, Jake McKenzie, David Hamilton, Gage Boehm, Lucas Gordon, Pete Hansen, Ty Madden, Parker Joe Robinson, Morgan Cooper, Heston Tole, Zane Morehouse, Travis Sthele, Caston Peter and Sam Bertelson, each of whom was acknowledged for their role in the team’s success.
Coach Schlossnagle emphasized that the awards are not merely individual accolades but a reflection of the program’s core values, noting that the names behind each trophy connect today’s players to a lineage of excellence that has defined Texas baseball for generations.
