A Community Celebrates a Legacy
Friends, former players and neighbors gathered last weekend in Bangor to honor Dave Morris, the region’s beloved football and baseball coach whose name has become synonymous with youth sports for decades.
In a brief speech, Morris reflected on his years coaching in Bangor, Brewer and Hermon, expressing deep gratitude for the mentors, teammates and families who shaped his journey, and he highlighted the camaraderie that defined his career.
Now set to relocate to St. Augustine, Florida, to be nearer his relatives, Morris said his move is not an ending but a new chapter, promising to return each summer to the place that raised him.
