The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball program is headed to Houston for the 2027 BRUCE BOLT College Classic, a three‑day showcase that will take place at Daikin Park from March 5 through March 7, 2027. The event brings together four collegiate teams in a tightly scheduled tournament that promises high‑stakes competition and a chance for the Cajuns to extend their recent momentum.
A historic return to Houston
Louisiana opens the tournament on Friday, March 5, at 3:05 p.m. against Utah, then meets Texas A&M on Saturday, March 6, at 7:05 p.m., and wraps up the weekend on Sunday, March 7, at 2:05 p.m. against UConn. Each game will be played under the bright lights of Daikin Park, giving the Cajuns a prime stage to showcase their talent against strong regional opponents.
The appearance marks the sixth time the Ragin’ Cajuns have been invited to the BRUCE BOLT Classic, having previously played in 2002, 2003, 2016, 2018 and 2024. The 2026 campaign set the stage for this showcase, as the team posted a 41‑25 record and advanced to the NCAA Regional final for the second time in three seasons, underscoring the program’s resurgence under its current coaching staff.
Fans will be able to purchase single‑day tickets and three‑day tournament packages when sales open later this spring, giving the community a chance to follow the Cajuns as they chase another deep run. The tournament is also supported by local partners, including the Astros Foundation and the Houston Astros, highlighting Houston’s commitment to fostering collegiate baseball talent.
