Both teams struggled to find rhythm, shooting just above 40 percent, but The Ville held a slight edge at 42.3 percent compared with La Familia’s 41.1 percent, a margin that proved decisive in the final minutes.
The Ville’s backcourt produced a burst of offense, with Chris Jones leading the way with 16 points and Montrezl Harrell and David Johnson each adding 12. La Familia answered with Darryl Morsell’s 17 points and a 14‑point effort from Andrew Harrison, while Kahlil Whitney’s clutch layup sealed the win.
Early Momentum and a Halftime Deficit
The Ville surged ahead early, opening a six‑point lead in the first period before taking a 21‑17 advantage. La Familia responded with a 12‑0 run to open the second quarter, flipping the script and entering the half down 41‑33.
