The University of Louisville announced that its men’s basketball program will open the 2026‑27 non‑conference slate with two home contests in early November.
The Cardinals are set to welcome the Chattanooga Mocs on November 2, 2026, followed by a matchup against the Morehead State Eagles on November 7.
November’s double‑header
The early‑season pairings underscore the Cardinals’ intent to test themselves against a variety of opponents before conference play begins.
Beyond the November fixtures, Louisville has slated additional high‑profile games, including a home clash with the Texas Longhorns on December 1 as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, a road trip to face the Kentucky Wildcats on December 11, and contests against Memphis, Baylor, Cincinnati and Texas Tech later in the year.
The schedule also includes participation in the Player’s Era Men’s Championship, where the team will play at least three games against a national field of competitors.
Off‑court, the program is buzzing with activity as six incoming transfers — Flory Bidunga, Jackson Shelstad, and others — join the roster, while the top‑ranked high‑school recruiting class features Obinna Ekezie Jr. The coaching staff, led by Pat Kelsey and Brooks Holton, is shaping a lineup that could contend early in the season.
