On Tuesday, August 25, Louisiana State University will come together to celebrate the life of Skip Bertman, the revered baseball coach who guided the Tigers to five national championships and left an indelible mark on the program.
A Celebration at the PMAC
The ceremony will take place in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, a venue that has hosted many of the team's most iconic moments. Public access will begin at 6 p.m., giving fans, alumni and supporters a chance to pay their respects before the formal program commences at 7 p.m.
Earlier in the day, a private gathering will bring together Bertman’s family, former players and staff for an intimate remembrance. This moment will allow those closest to the coach to share personal reflections in a setting that feels true to his legacy.
The event underscores the deep connection between the coach, his players and the broader LSU community. It serves as a reminder of a career defined by excellence, mentorship and a relentless pursuit of greatness that continues to inspire current and future generations of Tigers.
