The 2027 Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Baseball Classic is set to bring together some of the nation’s top collegiate programs in a three‑day showcase of talent and charity.
Louisiana State University will join Arizona State, Iowa and Oregon State on the field, while also scheduling a non‑conference matchup with UNLV on March 8 at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.
A Classic With a Cause
Peak Events, LLC, the organizers behind the tournament, have built a reputation for producing high‑profile collegiate baseball events that blend competition with philanthropy.
The Live Like Lou Foundation, the charitable arm of the tournament, honors the legacy of baseball great Lou Gehrig and raises awareness and support for families affected by ALS.
Since its inception, the foundation has directed millions of dollars toward research, patient services and advocacy, turning each swing of the bat into a statement of hope.
Looking Back, Looking Forward
LSU’s previous appearances in Peak Events classics have ended in championship victories, underscoring the program’s competitive edge and the tournament’s role in sharpening postseason readiness.
Beyond the diamond, the event provides a platform for fans, alumni and sponsors to contribute to a cause that touches communities across the country, from Las Vegas to the Gulf Coast.
With games scheduled from March 5 through March 8, the classic will be held at Las Vegas Ballpark, a venue that serves as home to the Las Vegas Aviators and regularly hosts major sporting and entertainment events.
