LSU’s women’s basketball program is gearing up for the 2026‑27 campaign with an eye on restoring the momentum lost after a wave of departures.
Head coach Kim Mulkey has announced the arrival of Jada Williams, a point guard who previously commanded Iowa State’s offense with 15.3 points, 7.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.
Joining Williams is Laila Reynolds, a Florida alumna who averaged 12.1 points per game over three seasons and brings a proven scoring touch.
The roster also welcomes Noa Morro, a six‑foot‑three forward from Mallorca, Spain, whose size and versatility are expected to create matchup problems for opponents.
Chloe Larry adds further depth to the backcourt, having posted 11.7 and 13.6 points per game at Tennessee Tech, promising additional scoring options.
Despite the influx of new talent, the core of the team remains intact, featuring returning standouts such as Mikaylah Williams, MiLaysia Fulwiley, Grace Knox, ZaKiyah Johnson and Kate Koval.
Mulkey’s track record includes bringing in Angel Reese and Aneesah Morrow, both of whom have translated their collegiate success into impactful WNBA careers.
The coaching staff notes that the departures of Jada Richard and Bella Hines left a void in the backcourt, a gap the new transfers are specifically designed to fill.
A New Era of Balance
With a blend of experience and fresh energy, LSU aims to rebuild its perimeter game while preserving the chemistry that has defined recent seasons.
