Louisiana State University’s football program has been on a roll lately, adding three fresh faces to its 2027 recruiting haul. The Tigers have secured pledges from three standout prospects in recent days, a development that has already sent ripples through the college football recruiting landscape.
Markez Davis, a three‑star athlete from Opelousas, chose LSU over a host of suitors including Houston, West Virginia, Texas Tech and others. Coaches project him as a cornerback who could add depth to the secondary.
Alongside Davis, five‑star edge rusher KJ Green announced his commitment, positioning himself as the second‑best defensive end in the 2027 class according to industry rankings.
The class also welcomed its first running back, Brennan Lacy, a three‑star talent who becomes the inaugural back in LSU’s 2027 cohort.
A Recruiting Surge
Ahmad Hudson, a five‑star tight end prospect, rounds out the group, while the overall class has risen seven spots in the 247Sports Composite, reflecting the coaching staff’s ability to attract top talent across multiple positions.
