A Strategic Appointment
Nashville Soccer Club announced this week that Lucas Reid has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, a role designed to accelerate the club’s growing network of local and national sponsors.
Reid brings more than two decades of experience in professional sports, having most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer for Major League Rugby, where he oversaw the league’s full commercial strategy and helped secure high‑profile media deals with partners such as ESPN.
Prior to his tenure in rugby, he spent over ten years with the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars organization, rising to Vice President of Business Development and playing a key part in the team’s revenue growth and sponsorship outreach.
In his new capacity, Reid will be responsible for shaping and executing the club’s partnership strategy, identifying and cultivating relationships with brands that align with Nashville SC’s community‑focused identity, and expanding the club’s portfolio of both regional and national collaborators.
Club President and CEO, Dr. Chris Jones, praised the hire, stating that Reid’s proven track record in building revenue streams and his deep connections across the sports industry make him uniquely qualified to lead the club’s partnership efforts during an exciting period of expansion.
The appointment follows a comprehensive search conducted by Excel Search & Advisory, a firm retained specifically to identify top talent for the role, underscoring the club’s commitment to a rigorous selection process.
