2025 Season Preview for Lyman Hall Football
The Lyman Hall High School football program is entering the 2025 campaign with optimism after a solid 7‑3 finish in 2024 that narrowly missed the playoffs. Head coach C.J. Monroe, now in his fifth year, brings a 22‑18 record and a reputation for developing talent, and he believes the returning core can push the team into playoff contention.
At the helm of the offense, senior quarterback Ryan Casey returns for his fourth season and will look to build on 3,227 passing yards and 36 touchdowns accumulated over 27 games. His experience should provide stability under center, while a strong offensive line and a talented receiving corps anchored by Logan Michaels and Brandon LaPlante aim to diversify the attack.
The backfield will feature a dynamic duo of RJ Drescher and Brian Whalen, giving the offense additional versatility. Defensively, the line returns all five starters, but the secondary will need to tighten up against a schedule that includes tough matchups against Ledyard, Hand, Law and Sheehan.
Despite the promising roster, the team will have to navigate a competitive Class M conference and improve defensive performance to translate its potential into postseason success. Home games will be played at Fitzgerald Field in Wallingford, Connecticut, where the community hopes to rally behind a squad that could be one of the best in recent memory.
