Lynnville‑Sully baseball team opened its Class 1A District 12 playoff run on Tuesday with a 13‑0 victory over English Valleys, a result that underscores the Hawks’ early‑season dominance.
Jack Bowlin, who entered the game as a relief pitcher, delivered two scoreless innings while also launching his first career varsity home run. The blast came alongside a three‑RBI effort that helped push the lead past double digits.
The offensive onslaught was spread across the lineup. Brody Borg doubled, scored twice and drove in two runs, while Ashton Rozendaal added a double and two RBIs. Gavin Olea, Carsen Kottenstette and Tyler Routier each contributed multiple hits, fueling an 11‑5 edge in the hit column.
