The Macomb Daily’s 2025‑26 All‑Macomb County boys hockey team was released this week, recognizing the elite talent that defined a competitive season across the region. Selected by the newspaper’s sports staff in collaboration with local coaches, the three‑team roster spotlights the players who not only excelled on the ice but also embodied the spirit of high school hockey in Macomb County.
Utica Eisenhower’s dominance was evident as the program placed a record number of athletes on the first team, highlighted by senior forward Bode Farr, who was crowned County MVP after a spectacular campaign that yielded 43 goals and 48 assists.
Farr’s linemates Nathan Schilkey and Joey Zelenak also earned first‑team honors, with Schilkey posting a breakout rookie season of 50 goals and 48 assists, and Zelenak contributing 42 goals and a county‑leading 59 assists. Defenseman Zach Morrison added 8 goals and 21 assists, while goaltender Connor Holmes posted a 1.87 goals‑against average and a .932 save percentage, anchoring a defense that helped the team reach the Division 1 Final Four.
Other programs were well represented as well. Macomb Dakota‑Chippewa Valley Unified’s Cameron Staskowski led his squad with 29 goals and 29 assists, while Utica‑Fraser Unified’s Lucas Beels contributed 27 goals and 22 assists. St. Clair Shores Unified’s Caden Gersch tallied 34 goals and 24 assists, and Logan Jarvey of Macomb L’Anse Creuse Unified added 15 goals and 24 assists. Forward Brody Meier from Romeo chipped in 14 goals and 14 assists, and Zach Delmonte from St. Clair Shores added 15 goals and 23 assists.
A Season of Excellence
Goaltending depth was a theme across the county, with Eli Chodrun of Utica‑Fraser posting a .834 save percentage and a 4.90 goals‑against average, and Perez Silva of Macomb L’Anse Creuse delivering a .901 save percentage and a 3.66 goals‑against average. Finn Aprea from Anchor Bay contributed 25 goals and 15 assists, while Alexander Gorgievski of Utica‑Fraser paced the team with 30 points.
The breadth of talent was rounded out by Gavin McKee of St. Clair Shores (17 goals, 28 assists), Luke Muszynski of Utica‑Fraser (9 goals, 23 assists), and Joey Marasco of Warren De La Salle, who anchored the blue line with 2 goals and 9 assists. Coach Dave Erwin, who guided Utica Eisenhower to a 28‑2‑0 record and the Division 1 Final Four, was praised for his leadership and strategic acumen.
