Season Opener
The Minot High Magicians will host Jamestown High School on August 14 at Duane Carlson Stadium, marking the first test of a squad that finished the previous season with its 16th consecutive postseason berth.
Senior midfielder Dylan Oswalt, who led the team with eight goals and eight assists last year, returns alongside junior forward Jayden Marshall, who contributed nine goals in 2025. Their presence adds experience to a roster eager to extend its streak of post‑season appearances.
The Magicians previously edged Jamestown 2‑1 in the State Tournament consolation semifinals, a result that fuels optimism as the new campaign begins.
Sentinels on the Rise
Meanwhile, the Minot North Sentinels open their third varsity season on the road in Bismarck against the Bismarck Demons. After improving from a 3‑13 record in 2024 to a 7‑8‑1 mark in 2025, the team hopes to continue its upward trajectory.
Junior striker Jayden Marshall, who led the Sentinels in scoring last season, will be a key factor as the squad seeks to make an impact in its third year of varsity play.
