The Maine Basketball Hall of Fame will hold its annual induction ceremony this Sunday at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, bringing together former players, coaches and teams that have shaped the state’s rich basketball heritage.

A festive brunch buffet will be served in the ballroom from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., giving guests a chance to mingle before the ceremony, which runs from noon to 2 p.m.

Among the inductees are longtime contributors such as Dave Ames and Kristi Royer Ouellette, while legendary figures including Matt Arseneault, John Black and Deb Smith will also be honored for their impact on the game.

The ceremony will also recognize historic teams, notably the 1966 Cony boys and the 1990 Colby men, alongside a roster of honored players that reads like a who’s who of Maine basketball.
