The University of Maine women's basketball team has released its non‑conference schedule for the 2026‑27 season, promising a blend of home‑court advantages and road tests across the country.
The Black Bears will open the campaign on November 5 in Orono as part of the America East‑MAAC Basketball Challenge, facing Siena before traveling to Merrimack three days later.
A four‑game homestand follows, beginning with a showdown against Oregon on November 13 and concluding with a matchup versus Penn on November 22, giving fans an early glimpse of the team.
The schedule also includes a trip to Daytona Beach for the 2026 Classic on November 27‑28, where opponents will be announced later, and later road games against Michigan State, Quinnipiac, Fairfield, Rhode Island and George Washington.
While exact game times remain pending, the university is already selling limited season tickets, available through its online portal or by phone.
The slate features seven home games, anchored by the early November series in Portland and the late‑November clash with Penn, providing a solid foundation before conference play begins.
The athletic department noted that the varied opponents will test the Bears' adaptability and help build chemistry ahead of the America East schedule.
