Make-A-Wish Twin State All-Star Hockey Classic Returns for Its 34th Men’s and 29th Women’s Games

Vermont and New Hampshire high-school seniors will battle at UVM’s Gutterson Field House on June 27, with all proceeds supporting children’s wishes.

A Classic Returns to the Ice

The Make-A-Wish Twin State All-Star Hockey Classic is gearing up for its 34th edition of the men’s game and 29th edition of the women’s game, bringing together top senior high-school players from Vermont and New Hampshire in a showcase of talent and charity.

The festivities will unfold at the University of Vermont’s Gutterson Field House on Saturday, June 27. The women’s contest kicks off at 3:30 p.m., followed by the men’s showdown at 6:00 p.m., giving fans a double-header of high-octane hockey.

Tickets are priced at $15 for adults, $5 for students (ages 7-17), and free for children six and under, making the event accessible to families while supporting a good cause.

Ahead of the main games, an annual skills competition will take place on Friday, June 26 at 7:15 p.m. at the same venue, offering players a chance to fine-tune their abilities in front of scouts and peers.

All proceeds from ticket sales and related fundraising activities are directed toward granting wishes for children battling life-threatening medical conditions, continuing a tradition that has already helped more than a thousand wishes come true in Vermont and over two thousand in New Hampshire.

Since its inception in 1989, Make-A-Wish Vermont has granted over 1,000 wishes, while its New Hampshire counterpart has fulfilled more than 2,000 wishes in the past 35 years. The Hockey Classic alone has raised upwards of $350,000 toward these life-changing experiences.

Local organizers, volunteers, and sponsors are optimistic that this year’s event will not only celebrate the sport but also set new fundraising milestones, ensuring that more children receive the hope and joy a wish can bring.
