The Tar Heels’ roster reconstruction centers on adding size and versatility. At the heart of that plan is Cameron Fens, a 7‑foot center who completed a fifth year at South Dakota. In his senior season he posted career‑high averages of 14.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while shooting 57.9% from the field, earning All‑Summit League First Team and All‑Defensive honors.
