Parking Lot Attack
A 25‑year‑old man was taken into custody after police say he used a baseball bat to smash the windows of several vehicles in the parking lot of a WinCo Foods store in Salem, Oregon.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect walk through the lot on Lancaster Drive SE, repeatedly striking car glass until several windows were cracked or shattered.
Arrest and Detention
After the attack, the suspect fled on foot, leapt over a fence in the 4600 block of Arabian Avenue SE and led officers on a brief pursuit before being detained on Raffon Court SE.
Salem Police Department officers arrested Zachary Graham without incident and transported him to the Marion County Jail, where he was booked on multiple counts of first‑degree criminal mischief.
Investigators are urging any vehicle owners who discovered damage in the lot to file an online report using case reference SMP26063232.
