The Mansfield Christian Flames girls soccer team capped a historic 2025 campaign with a district championship and a first‑ever regional title, finishing the season at 18‑3‑1 and capturing the Mid‑Buckeye Conference crown.
A Record‑Breaking Campaign
At the center of the breakthrough was senior forward Ryen Anderson, who shattered the single‑season goals record with 37 scores and earned All‑Ohio honors, player‑of‑the‑year accolades in her district and the MBC.
Brooklyn Rider complemented Anderson with 23 goals and collected first‑team All‑District and All‑MBC honors, while Reese Bechtler added 12 goals and 10 assists, Lydia McFadden contributed eight goals and five assists, and Michelle Hope chipped in four goals and eight assists.
In goal, Haven Granter posted 71 saves and five shutouts, and Makayla Smith added six saves and three clean sheets, providing a balanced defensive backbone.
The roster returns 12 letterwinners and eight starters, including freshmen Bella Rider and Mackenzie Ricker who join the midfield alongside Natalie Ricker, creating depth that could push the team toward a state tournament berth in 2026.
Additional depth players such as Lily Ziadeh, Katelynn Miller, Harper Bechtler, Teanna Elliot and Rylynn Neal will help sustain the squad’s momentum as the new season approaches.
