On July 19, the streets of Marblehead will buzz with the excitement of the FIFA World Cup Final as the Marblehead Football Club opens its doors to fans for a community watch party at The Rip Tide Lounge. The event, scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m., invites residents and visitors alike to gather around screens, share the passion of the game, and support a good cause.
A Community Celebration
Attendees are asked to contribute a suggested $10 donation, with all proceeds earmarked for the club’s nonprofit mission to broaden access to soccer across the North Shore. Founded earlier this year as a nonprofit, Marblehead Football Club has made it its purpose to remove financial barriers through scholarships, equipment donations, and partnerships with local youth soccer programs.
Supporting Local Youth
The initiative includes a youth soccer gear drive, encouraging participants to bring gently used balls, cleats, jerseys and other equipment that can be repurposed for children who might otherwise lack the means to play. The collected items will be distributed through Lynn Youth Soccer, a community‑based organization that offers both competitive and recreational leagues for young athletes throughout the region.

John Kaetzer, owner of The Rip Tide Lounge, said he is proud to partner with Marblehead Football Club to celebrate soccer while giving back to the community.
