The 41st annual Pioneer Golf Outing saw the alumni team post an 18‑under‑par victory, extending their championship streak.

The 41st annual Pioneer Golf Outing concluded with a decisive victory for the Marietta College Baseball alumni team, who posted an 18‑under‑par score to claim their third consecutive championship.

A Historic Streak Continues

The winning lineup featured Brian Brewer, Scott McVicar, Logan Vietmeier and Gordan Vietmeier, whose combined effort secured the top spot ahead of a competitive field of 28 teams.

Finishing as runners‑up, a quartet of Karson Snyder, Ross Snyder, Garrett Schiller and Matt Murphy posted a 16‑under‑par 54, underscoring the depth of talent in the tournament.

All proceeds from the day’s competition are funneled directly into the Pioneer Club fund, a tradition that supports the college’s athletic programs. Longtime sponsor BSN Sports, along with partners such as Fairfield Inn, FieldTurf, Gillard Custom Cabinets, Hall Financial, Lang Elliott Wealth Advisors, Parkhurst, Pickering Associates, Raymond James, Sir Speedy, Two Rivers NIL and TaylorMade Golf Clubs, helped make the event possible.

Prizes were awarded not only to the top two foursomes but also to the 17th‑place team and a variety of hole‑specific awards. Among the recognitions, Steve Anderson captured the TaylorMade Golf Clubs prize, while the volleyball program earned the Golden Musket for the second time by generating the most fundraising support.

Overall, 112 golfers teed off at the Marietta Country Club, illustrating the event’s growing popularity and its role as a key community fundraiser.
