Texas A&M’s wide receiver Mario Craver has been recognized by Phil Steele, earning a spot on the Preseason All‑America Second Team as the 2026 campaign approaches.
The junior’s rise has been underscored by a string of impressive performances that have placed him among the SEC’s most productive pass catchers.
Stat line that speaks volumes
In his junior season Craver amassed 917 receiving yards on 59 catches, adding four touchdowns while also contributing 81 rushing yards and a rushing score.
His consistency shone through three games with at least 100 yards, highlighted by a 207‑yard outing and an 86‑yard touchdown reception at Notre Dame.
A historic night in South Bend
The performance not only set a program record for the highest single‑game receiving total against an AP Top‑25 opponent, it also marked the first 200‑yard game in Texas A&M history on the road.
Craver’s accolades extend beyond the preseason list; he was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award and collected FWAA All‑America Second Team and All‑SEC Third Team honors.
The Aggies will open the 2026 season at home against Missouri State, with kickoff scheduled for Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. on ESPN, a game that will test the momentum built from Craver’s record‑breaking season.
