Marist College has released its full Metro Conference schedule for the 2026‑27 men's basketball season, a 20‑game lineup that balances homecourt familiarity with challenging road trips.
The season opens at McCann Arena on December 4 against Sacred Heart, followed two days later by a test at Iona on December 6, setting the tone for a campaign that will see the Red Foxes alternate between the familiar confines of Poughkeepsie and hostile environments.
Home Openers and Early Road Tests
Four of Marist's contests will be played at McCann Arena, including matchups with Canisius, Iona, Mount St. Mary's, Niagara, Rider, Sacred Heart and Siena, while eight opponents will meet the Foxes on both home and away soil.
The early road stretch continues with a December 29 visit to Mount St. Mary's, after which the team returns to Poughkeepsie for a New Year's Day home game against Sacred Heart, marking the third occurrence of a holiday fixture and the first since pandemic restrictions eased.
January brings a mix of travel and home dominance; the Foxes will host Canisius and Niagara on January 1 and 3 before embarking on a series of away games that include trips to Niagara and Canisius in early February.
Back‑to‑back home games against Iona on January 29 and Siena on January 31 provide a chance to rally the fan base before the schedule tightens with road contests at Niagara on February 5 and Canisius on February 7.
February also features home meetings with Mount St. Mary's on February 19 and Rider on February 21, culminating in the regular‑season finale at Siena on February 28.
Championship Outlook
The Metro Conference tournament is slated for March 4 through March 9, with the top ten teams earning berths; Marist will aim to secure a favorable seed as the regular season draws to a close.
