Marquette University has unveiled the non‑conference slate for its men’s basketball team for the 2026‑27 season, a schedule that blends early‑season challenges with marquee home attractions.
Season Opener at Fiserv Forum
The campaign begins on November 2 when the Golden Eagles host Mercyhurst at the Fiserv Forum, marking the first of several early‑season tests.
A few days later, on November 6, the team will stage a student‑only exhibition against Detroit Mercy at the Al McGuire Center, giving the campus community a first look at the new roster.
Road Tests and Neutral‑Site Tournaments
Marquette will travel to Chicago’s United Center to meet Missouri on November 15, and will also journey to the Battle 4 Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas, where it is slated to face Virginia and Texas A&M.
Additional road games include a December 5 showdown with Wisconsin at Fiserv Forum and a December 12 contest against Mississippi State, both of which pit the Eagles against teams that reached the NCAA tournament last year.
Home‑and‑Home with a Champion
The schedule also features a home‑and‑home series with Michigan, the defending national champion, beginning with a November 11 visit to Ann Arbor before the Eagles host the Wolverines later in the season.
Exhibition matches against Green Bay on October 19 and a home game versus Michigan State on October 25 provide further opportunities for coaching staff to fine‑tune strategies before the regular season begins.
The full BIG EAST schedule, complete with start times and television details, is slated for release in September, giving fans a clearer picture of the conference road ahead.
