Marshall Announces Full 2026‑27 Men's Basketball Schedule
Marshall University has released its complete 2026‑27 men’s basketball schedule, a 30‑game slate that features 20 home contests at the Cam Henderson Center.
The season opens with an exhibition matchup against West Virginia Wesleyan on October 22, setting the stage for a regular‑season debut in the MAC‑SBC Challenge against Buffalo on November 2.
Early home tests and road challenges
Fans can look forward to early home games against Toledo on November 7 and East Texas A&M on November 28, followed by a December 12 contest versus Kentucky Christian.
Road trips will include visits to former conference rivals such as ETSU on November 17, UNC Wilmington on December 2 and Bethune‑Cookman on December 5.
Holiday stretch and conference showdowns
The schedule features nine Sun Belt home games, highlighted by a New Year’s Eve clash with South Alabama, and also includes matchups against Ohio State, Youngstown State and other regional powers.
Coach Cornelius 'Corny' Jackson said the slate is designed to test the team against elite opponents, providing a platform for growth and competitive play.
