The Tuesday night contest at Jack Cook Field was removed from the schedule after Virginia Tech informed Marshall officials that it had opted out of the agreement. The decision leaves the Herd without a replacement game at this time.

The department also announced that the next game will take place on Thursday, when the team travels to face Texas State in the final Sun Belt series of the regular season.
