Marshall University’s football program will open its 2026 home schedule on September 12, hosting Middle Tennessee State at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, marking the first home game in the venue since 2020.
A Green‑Out Celebration
Fans are being asked to dress in green to transform the stadium into a sea of the school’s colors, and rally towels will be handed out as part of the effort to create a unified visual display.
Honoring Educators and Legends
The game will spotlight the Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, recognizing local educators, while also unveiling the 2026 Marshall Athletics Hall of Fame inductees, who will be celebrated on the field.
Ticket sales are staggered, with mini plans becoming available on June 15, single‑game tickets on July 15, and season tickets already on sale, giving supporters ample opportunity to secure their seats.
Beyond the pageantry, attendees can expect an upgraded game‑day atmosphere, featuring expanded concessions and a new interactive stadium map designed to enhance fan engagement.
A Themed Summer Ahead
The September 12 opener is the first of six themed home games the university plans to roll out over the summer, each promising its own unique promotions and community connections.
