Terps Ready to Lead the Charge in 2026

The University of Maryland’s men’s soccer program has turned its focus toward the 2026 campaign, spotlighting three returning standouts who are expected to drive the team’s ambitions.

Leon Koehl, a two‑time All‑Big Ten First Team midfielder, brings a blend of creativity and clutch finishing after a senior season that saw him net three goals and set up three more, earning United Soccer Coaches All‑North Region Second Team honors.

In goal, Laurin Mack continues to excel, having been crowned the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year after posting nine shutouts and a conference‑leading 61 saves, a performance that also secured him three weekly accolades.

Albi Ndrenika, the team’s primary playmaker, capped his breakout year with eight assists and four game‑winning goals, the most memorable coming in a 1‑0 victory over Washington that clinched the Big Ten Championship.

The Terps open their season on Thursday night in Pittsburgh, facing the Panthers at Ambrose Urbanic Field, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
