The Massillon Tigers are preparing for the 2026 high school football season, which officially opens on August 21. The program, steeped in tradition, is looking to build on recent successes as it assembles a roster that blends seasoned seniors with promising underclassmen.
Star‑Studded Backfield
Two names dominate the conversation: Brayton Feister and Savior Owens. Feister, a Mr. Football finalist who transferred from Akron Hoban, brings a rare combination of running back power and linebacker tenacity. Owens, a Michigan State recruit, exploded in his junior year with 1,572 rushing yards and is celebrated for his speed, vision and physicality.
Head coach Nate Moore has repeatedly highlighted Feister’s athleticism and his ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball, while describing Owens as a complete package who can break tackles and create lanes.
The backfield is further enriched by the Feister brothers — Brayton and defensive end Brylon — as well as standout seniors such as Deontay Malone, a Ohio State commit who shines at receiver and cornerback, and Giorgio Jackson Jr., whose basketball pedigree includes a Division II state championship.
Beyond individual talent, the Tigers boast a cohesive senior class that aims to extend the school’s dominance in Stark County and make a deep run beyond regional borders. The team will test its mettle in scrimmages against Avon and Cincinnati Moeller before opening the season against Glenville.
