Summer basketball camps return to Mustang Arena

The McDonald County Youth Basketball Association Inc. has opened registration for its summer basketball camps, giving students a chance to develop their skills while having fun on the court.

The three‑day sessions will take place from June 24 through June 26 at Mustang Arena, which is located on the campus of McDonald County High School in Anderson, Missouri.

Students in third through fifth grade will meet from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while those in sixth through eighth grade will gather from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., allowing age‑appropriate instruction.

Coaching will be provided by the high school’s staff and current varsity players, who will focus on fundamental techniques and create a supportive, enjoyable environment.

The cost for each participant is $20, payable by check or cash; checks should be made payable to McDonald County Mustang Basketball, and this year Venmo and PayPal are not accepted as payment methods.

Sign‑up forms are available on the MCYBA Inc. Facebook page, and a separate camp for kindergarten through second grade is planned for July, with dates still being finalized.
