2026 Season Overview
McNeese State's soccer program released its 2026 schedule on Tuesday morning, outlining a demanding slate that blends early‑season exhibitions with a full conference campaign.
The campaign opens at home with an exhibition against LSU‑Eunice on August 6 at 6:30 p.m., giving fans a first look at the squad before the regular season begins on the road at Alcorn State on August 13.
Following the opening match, the Cowgirls will host Southern Mississippi on August 16, welcome Jackson State on August 20 and entertain North Texas on August 23, setting a busy early‑home stretch.
The team then travels to face West Florida on August 27 before returning home to host UL‑Lafayette on August 30, after which pre‑conference road trips to Louisiana Tech (September 3), Grambling (September 6) and Sam Houston (September 13) are slated.
Conference play kicks off with a road contest at Southeastern Louisiana on September 17, followed by a home matchup against Stephen F. Austin on September 24 and a trip to Texas A&M‑Corpus Christi on September 27.
October begins with a home game against Nicholls on October 1, and the regular season will close with a series of matches against UTRGV, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, East Texas A&M, Northwestern State and Lamar in the weeks that follow.
The Southland Conference Tournament is set for Commerce, Texas, with quarterfinals on November 10, semifinals on November 12 and the championship game on November 15, providing a clear path to the postseason.
