Ad Astra Radio, a longtime champion of high school athletics, has once again highlighted exceptional performance by naming the McPherson High School girls soccer team as its May 2026 Team of the Month.
A Month to Remember
The Bullpups compiled a 4‑1‑1 record throughout May, a stretch that featured a regional championship and a berth in the state quarterfinals.
Their campaign began with a 6‑0 thrashing of Buhler on May 5, a game that set the tone for the month.
The team followed with a 0‑0 tie against Wichita Trinity and added victories over Wichita Classical on two separate occasions.
A 7‑0 drubbing of Classical not only underscored their offensive firepower but also secured the Class 4‑3‑2‑1A regional title.
The run ended in the quarterfinals when McPherson fell 2‑1 to Rose Hill, a narrow defeat that left the squad with a bittersweet finish.
Leadership on and off the Pitch
Coach Chris Adrian took the opportunity to single out senior leaders Brodie Kuhn, Grace Prescott, Addison Shaft and Becca Lulloff, whose guidance proved pivotal throughout the season.
Their contributions helped the team maintain consistency, navigate tough matchups, and embody the spirit of the program.
