Metro Detroit’s 2026 All‑State Dream Team
The annual All‑State Dream Team released by the Detroit News showcases the region’s most promising high school baseball talent for the 2026 season, highlighting players who have earned accolades, signed with collegiate programs and helped elevate their high schools to new heights.
Among the standout pitchers, senior Ethan Armstrong from Garden City captured the coveted Mr. Baseball award and has committed to the University of Michigan, while Andrew Mahoney of Detroit Catholic Central, a senior who earned all‑state honors and will join Cincinnati, and Cole Duhaime of Birmingham Brother Rice, another all‑state selection heading to Virginia, round out the rotation.
The infield corps features Hudson Brzustewicz of Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, a two‑year all‑state selection bound for Notre Dame, Drake Roa from Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, who repeats on the Dream Team and will attend Michigan, Henry Ewles also of Notre Dame Prep, headed to Miami (Ohio), and Tristan Turner of Brother Rice, who will continue at Western Michigan.
Outfielders and additional honorees include Luke Crighton of Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, a repeat all‑state pick bound for Indiana, Flip Watters, a sophomore from Rochester Adams who earned the honor as a freshman and repeats, Logan Evans of Richmond with a .671 batting average, and Maksim Neshov of Brother Rice, a switch‑hitter also recognized on the Dream Team.
Broder Katke, a junior catcher from Brother Rice, is committed to Vanderbilt and is touted as one of the Midwest’s premier prep catchers, while Ryan Rogowski, the head coach of Detroit Catholic Central, guided his squad to its first Division 1 state championship, a milestone that underscores the program’s rising trajectory.
The second team includes pitchers Nick Kaminski, Cash Moczydlowsky, Brad Bieniasz and Brady Lindstrom, alongside infielders Dylan Fairchild, Daniel Hampton, Mike Stanton and Derek Conrad, while outfielders Drew Tribul, Dante Perry, Boden Bishop and Gavin McKee and catcher Cameron Thorning add depth, and honorable mentions from schools such as Royal Oak Shrine, Brighton, New Boston Huron and Detroit Edison further illustrate the region’s breadth of talent.
