The defeat marked a rematch of an earlier encounter in March, when the Bulldogs had been routed 5-1 by the same opponent.
Kayden Cason found the back of the net for Mexico, while Wright City’s Haley Elsenrath delivered a hat‑trick to swing the momentum.
Wright City finished the year with an impressive 18‑6 record, the best in school history, underscoring the stark contrast between the two programs.
Mexico concluded the campaign with a 4‑17 overall record, but the team did manage three home victories, highlighted by a 3‑2 win over Canton on Senior Night.
Looking Ahead
Despite the early exit, the Bulldogs hope to build on the experience as they look toward future seasons, aiming to develop younger talent and restore competitiveness.
