Miami residents will have a chance to see two of the city’s most respected public safety agencies face off on the soccer field this weekend.
The Miami Fire Rescue and the Miami Police Department are set to play a friendly soccer match at Curtis Park in Miami on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 10:45 a.m.
Admission is free, and the event will feature food trucks, bounce houses, a DJ, live music and a variety of youth activities designed to bring the community together.
Organizers say the match is part of a broader effort to foster positive relationships between first responders and the neighborhoods they serve, offering families a chance to interact with the men and women who protect the city.
Community Spirit on the Field
The friendly competition will see firefighters and officers trade their usual gear for cleats, showcasing teamwork and camaraderie in a setting that emphasizes fun over rivalry.
Local officials hope the event will inspire future collaborations and highlight the shared commitment to public safety and community well‑being.
