Miami Hockey has secured the services of Russian goaltender Yegor Yegorov, who will don the RedHawks’ jersey for the upcoming 2026‑27 campaign in Oxford, Ohio.
Born in Moscow, Yegorov began his junior career with MHK Spartak‑MAH Moskva in the MHL, where he posted a 2.97 goals‑against average and a .918 save percentage across 38 appearances last season.
Prior to that, he suited up for MHK Krylia Sovetov Moskva in 2024‑25, recording a 3.14 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 20 games, and earlier spent two seasons with MHK Dynamo Moskva, maintaining save percentages above .915 each year.
The Flames drafted Yegorov in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Draft, a milestone that underscores his North American prospects.
A Strategic Move for the RedHawks
Coach Anthony Noreen praised the acquisition, noting that Yegorov’s international experience will bolster the team’s depth and competitiveness as the program looks to contend for a championship.
The addition of Yegorov aligns with Miami Hockey’s strategy to blend seasoned talent with emerging prospects, a formula that has yielded strong results in recent seasons.
Fans can expect to see the Russian net‑minder in action when the RedHawks open the 2026‑27 schedule at the Millett Hall in Oxford, Ohio.
