Stephanie Danesis, a four‑year tennis letter‑winner, captured the 2012 MAC Player of the Year award and helped elevate the program's national profile. Dea Dechant, a field hockey standout, earned multiple All‑MAC honors and was named 2015 MAC Player of the Year, cementing her place among the program's elite.
Patrick Flavin burst onto the golf scene as the 2015 MAC Freshman of the Year, while Ron Harper stands among the most decorated men's basketball players in Mid‑American Conference history. Their performances have contributed to Miami's competitive edge for more than a decade.
Andy Miele, the university's first Hobey Baker Award winner, represented the United States at the IIHF World Championship twice, and Kelsey Vehr amassed ten MAC championships in women's swimming, earning first‑team All‑American honors in 2010.
Beyond the Field

Mary Haskell O'Leary, who served as an equipment manager for 25 years, was previously inducted into the Association of Equipment Managers Hall of Fame in 2002, reflecting a career devoted to the behind‑the‑scenes work that sustains athletic excellence.
